Non operative management for traumatic injuries of the spleen is nothing earth shattering today but that’s thanks in part to the work of Dr. David Wesson nearly 4 decades ago. In this episode, we go back in time to when Dr. Wesson and the pediatric surgeons at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children made a lot of people think twice about when to do a splenectomy.
